Statement on Supreme Court Decision on Arizona Voting Law

Washington, D.C. — Today, the Supreme Court ruled that two restrictive provisions on a Republican Arizona voting law do not violate the Voting Rights Act. Battle Born Collective Executive Director Adam Jentleson released the following statement in response:

“Today’s Supreme Court decision spotlights Senator Sinema’s complicity in gutting the right to vote in America. The only thing blocking the steps necessary to counter the conservative assault on voting rights is the filibuster, and Sinema is helping Mitch McConnell protect this Jim Crow relic. If Sinema continues to maintain this position, destroying voting rights will be her legacy.”
